The CDC is gradually providing better and more comprehensive data. Last week they added more specific data on over 3.5 million CV-19 cases, which allows closer tracking of outcomes by cohort. Early looks at this data show the same thing we have found in Minnesota–hospitalization and death rates are steadily declining as the epidemic proceeds, clear evidence of the front-loading with the most susceptible getting infected first. This chart, courtesy Phil Kerpen on Twitter, gives a summary of outcome rates by age group using this new data. You can also see the extreme relationship of age to serious outcomes. I hope to do a little posting based on it this week.
