Japan has one of the highest rates of mask wearing in the world. I posted a chart before showing case growth in that country, which early on appeared to have escaped the worst of the epidemic. Looks like its baaaack, as this chart clearly shows. I once wrote a post called we are all going to end up in the same place. That looks to be pretty much true. This is one sneaky and persistent virus, fortunately not even a bad cold for the great majority of the population.
