These are times of great anxiety and despair, and you just have to get away from it for a least a few moments. Here is my advice for a little exercise and a little just be in the moment fun, even for old farts like me. Pull out some disco music, nothing beats the 70s. Here is a suggested playlist, in no particular order: The Trammps–Disco Inferno; Tavares–Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel; Village People–YMCA; Thelma Houston–I Will Survive; Lionel Ritchie–Dancing on the Ceiling; KC & the Sunshine Band–Get Down Tonight; Hues Corporation–Rock the Boat; Donna Summer–Last Dance; Alicia Bridges–I love the Nightlight; Vickie Sue Robinson–Turn the Beat Around; The BeeGees–Saturday Nite Fever, and I am sure you can find many more.
Get your music player of whatever type, turn on the music and turn it up as loud as you can stand, and load up the bass; and most importantly, move, dance, no matter what you think you look like, just let it go and feel the music and the beat. Do that for even ten minutes and I guarantee you will feel better. Give it a whirl.
