Another year flown by, another holiday season upon us. Notwithstanding the religious connotations this time of year for many people, it has more ancient origin as well in the movement out of the depths of daily darkness. We have just passed the point of lowest light, which in Minnesota at least is pretty short. Hence forth til midsummer we will steadily gain minutes and hours of sun. The metaphor is obvious, and the inspiration for hope is as well. Out of the darkness and into the light. So for all of you who may in any way be struggling with personal, business or other difficulties, I hope these days truly represent the nadir and that your future is brighter.
And for all of you, I wish for very relaxing and enjoyable time with you family and friends.
