A recent analysis looks at change in household income from 2019 to 2024. Guess what supposedly well-off state with a lot of big corporate headquarters and supposedly well-educated workforce does pretty poorly. That would be Minnesota, with a mere 13% growth in household income over the entire period, fifth worst among all states. And the state went from having a relatively high household income to being middle of the pack at best. I guess maybe inviting as many illegal immigrants as you can get into your state while seeing a huge number of high-income people leave for Florida, Texas, etc. isn’t a formula for improving the standard of living for your citizens. And all that Somali fraud against government programs didn’t really raise the average much either. No wonder Fat Timmy is looking for anything to distract the citizenry from his woeful performance as Governor. (VC Analysis)
