Another Week or so of the Anti-Strib

Well, what has our beloved, by the bottoms of parakeet cages, local newspaper been up to?  The usual, trying its best to ignore the flaws of Dems and Minnesota and tear down anything Trump and conservative, often in unintentionally fashion.  As I have said before, reading the paper is predictable and tedious.  And I don’t even bother to report on the op-ed page nonsense.

The paper goes after a local Rep congressman’s senior staffer for excessive travel expenses.  I don’t recall the paper ever looking at Dem spending, don’t recall any outrage over say, Fat Timmy’s spending half a million in legal fees preparing for a hearing.  Speaking of the Incompetent Blowhard, local Dems are concerned that Little Timmy may drag them down in the next election.  It tells you how bad our state is that he wasn’t forced to resign and not only is running again, but has a good chance of winning.

In the Minnesota news, there is steadfast denial of the absolute truth that the local Somali community has a liking for fraud against government programs, and probably other shenanigans as well.  Not just denial but defending of the practices and the Dems failure to monitor and investigate.  The overwhelming proportion of participants in these frauds are Somalis, so it isn’t racist or anything else to notice the truth and to suggest that maybe there is an issue here that the Somali community should address.  And the state and federal governments should be looking carefully to see what kind of tax evasion and fraud might also be going on.

Oh, and don’t look closely, but crime is really bad in Minneapolis.  Also not talked about, how bad the state fares in rankings of our economy, in domestic migration, in education, in every aspect that matters for quality of life.

Thinking it would be hip, the paper hired a columnist solely to talk about cannibis and runs stories about how awful the federal ban on hemp products is.  Then it has the audacity to run a story, not actually written by a Strib journalist of course, about how today’s products are far more addictive and are causing many people issues.

Of course Trump is being mean and racist for suggesting that it is time to do something about the Somali problem, in Minnesota and elsewhere.  And for his other efforts to keep criminal immigrants out of the country or if they are here, to have them leave.  For some reason the paper is slightly obsessed with Bolsanaro, the former president of Brazil, probably because they liken him to Trump.  The Strib celebrates his likely illegal and politcally motivated jailing.

Billionaires have taken over America’s politics.  I agree this is a serious issue but somehow the Strib only notices the ones supporting Reps, while the truth is that the Dem party is completely 100% controlled by Soros and his fellow billionaires.  Out-of-state billionaires fund Minnesota’s whacked Dem party.  Trump is still bad for hosting the Saudia Arabian leader.  It is fine that several Dem politicians encouraged members of the military to disobey lawful orders, and no, those leaders did not in any manner suggest why or how any orders could be illegal.

“Diverse” small businesses are upset that they won’t get priority in government contracting anymore.  Gee, what a shame, the taxpayer money will have to be spent solely on the most competent contractors.  People interfering with the legitimate efforts of federal immigration authorities to enforce the law are heroes and the paper runs stories telling lies about the treatment of suspects with zero backup.

Adding a ballroom to the White House is awful.  Killing drug runners is still really, really awful.  And the paper runs a story basically defending Maduro against the overwhelming evidence that his administration basically works and profits from the cartels running drugs.

I am out of here for a few days so I will have to find other sources of amusement for a while, but I will have the burden of reading all the piled up Stribs when I return.
