My recent travels just happen to have taken me to Dem-run states, with predictable observations, first in California and now New Mexico. New Mexico is a beautiful state, lots of desert but also mountains, mesas, pine forests, river valleys. I love the topography. There is interesting art, history, Native American culture. But the state has been run by Dems for so long that you can imagine what it is like. At or near the bottom on every measure of quality of life that is important. Rampant crime, so bad that it really isn’t safe to be out in Albuquerque at night in most of the commercial areas. Large amounts of homelessness, many people who are obviously seriously mentally ill. Barred windows and doors everywhere. Declining infrastructure. Poor economy, one of the poorest states in the country. If it weren’t for tourism and retirees the state would be even worse. Very proudly woke as it circles the toilet. I really do wonder what it will take for people to wake up and acknowledge that Dem policies are ruining their state.
