Debunking Climate Hysteria, May 21, 2025

By May 21, 2025Commentary1 min read

I have written several times about Greenland.  Next to Antarctica, Greenland is the hysterics leading source of moaning about ice melting and coastal cities drowning.  There is no evidence of widespread ice mass loss in Greenland, which would make the hysterics cry, but they just lie about it instead, knowing that the media will amplify those lies.  And the ice isn’t melting because temperatures aren’t really rising around Greenland.  This post gives the history.  Strangely (not really, Denmark is big on pushing global warming hysteria), Denmark has stopped posting charts, but the author was able to get the raw temperature data to extend them.  Recent temperatures are similar to those from the 1920s to 1950s, so nothing to be alarmed about.  Temperatures on the huge island is tied to an Atlantic ocean current that cycles.  That latest cycle of warmer temperatures has begun to decline.   (WUWT Post)

Lots of conflicting information on the history of greenland temps.

The GISP2 ice cores medieval warming period and roman warming period much warming than today. though the GIPS2 ice cores stop around 1950.

Barley and other crops were grown by the vikings during the MWP that are now just recently being grown.

Yet supposedly scientists have uncovered morianes that show the glaciers advances during the MWP were at similar advanced levels as during the little ice age. I suspect the scientists have been a little aggressive in dating their findings to advance the theory that the MWP did exist in greenland.

considering the evidence of a warmer MWP in canada, alaska, europe, the urals, etc, I suspect the climate scientists have been a little loose with the scientific evidence.
