Another fear pimped by climate hysterics is that alleged warming will change ocean circulations. There are a variety of major and subsidiary ocean currents around the world, which transport heat, nutrients, etc. They do play a role in global and local weather. A big one is called the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation. Supposedly it is about to disappear. This study says otherwise. Now the authors accept all the global warming dogma, but they use existing climate models to show that in fact, it is highly unlikely that current will collapse, largely due to changed winds. As usual, climate’s complexity means that if one factor is perturbed others adjust to keep a relatively steady state. (Nature Article)
