Debunking Climate Hysteria, February 28, 2025

By February 28, 2025Commentary2 min read

Okay, so here is another of the strident hysteric claims.  All the ice in the world is going to melt and raise sea levels flooding the entire United States, or something like that.  Part of the claim is that all the ice in Antarctica will melt, most prominently the ice shelves, which sit on the supposedly rapidly warming ocean.  So of course a new piece of research finds that in fact, during the last inter-glacial, the period between ice ages, when, as now, the earth warms significantly, a very large Antarctica ice shelf not only did not melt but was close to its current size.  Antarctica and the oceans around it were at that time even warmer than today or than is projected to occur by the wildly inaccurate climate models.  As the authors say, their findings “weaken the observational basis ” for these ludicrous models.  In plain English, the ice shelves in Antarctica are not going to melt, the sea level is not going to rise dramatically, and most tragically for the hysterics, it will be harder for billionaires to get even richer from “renewable” (i.e., expensive and unreliable) sources of energy.  (Nature Article)
