Climate Hysteria Debunked, February 25, 2025

By February 25, 2025February 26th, 2025Commentary2 min read

Climate hysterics and their academic minions have told us that they have equisitely accurate models that capture every detail of complex climate dynamics and are thus able to predict exactly how much of a disaster adding CO2 to our atmosphere will be.  The only problem is, they are lying as usual.  Their models fail to explain anything and have been wrong about where the climate is headed for decades.  Part of the problem is hubris or lack of humility–climate is exceptionally complex and expecting any model to come close to replicating the past, much less predicting the future is asking a lot.

And somehow research squeaks through the hysterics’ peer review barrier to poke holes in one or another aspect of the models and their flawed predictions.  Most recently a study looked at ocean evaporation.  The models say that as the Earth warms there will be more evaporation.  Evaporation from the ocean is the major source of water vapor.  Water vapor is about the most potent “greenhouse” gas.  So this particular parameter is important. Turns out that even though the Earth has experienced some warming in recent decades, there hasn’t been more evaporation from the ocean.

Turns out that the amount of wind also has a lot to do with evaporation and the wind has on average died down over the ocean in recent years.  So even with warming there is less evaporation.  Why is there less wind?  Because of a natural oscillation in an ocean current.   Of course these authors give a nod to the claim that the change in wind is somehow due to human-caused climate change, you aren’t going to get your research published if you don’t somehow link it to evil CO2. What they really say is that the change is likely due to the internal climate variability of Earth–i.e., it is just part of a natural cycle.  And this is just another example of how Earth has many mechanisms for adjusting temperature and other climate factors and all these feedback mechanisms have been around forever and dominate any human influences on climate.  (Evap.
