If you have any interest in science, and I certainly do, here are two sites definitely worth following. One is called the Big Think . And specifically the column there called Starts With a Bang. A lot of other stuff on the site is pretty worthless, especially because they have ideologues like Bill Nye and Neil Tyson, who are a big part of the reason science has become so distrusted. But other columns are just great at discussing complex ideas. The other site is Quanta Magazine. Here you can choose from several topics. The computing one I follow somewhat closely, as well as the physics one. But they are all interesting. Anyway, if you looking for something more interesting than the latest cat video or Taylor Swift rumors, these sites are refreshing.
