A reader very generously pointed me to another source of data on Minnesota’s economy, indeed that of every state. The website, Rich States/Poor States, ranks states on a number of business issues. Minnesota ranks low on desirable ones and high on undesirable ones. Overall the state is ranked 44th (for those of you with limited ability to comprehend numbers, like the IB, that is not good) for economic outlook. We have high taxes and excessive regulation. As you can imagine, the best states are run by Republicans and the worst, like Minnesota, have long-standing Democrat rule. (RSPS Site)
