Make the Green Nonsense Stop, I Am Laughing too Hard

By July 22, 2024Commentary2 min read

This isn’t actually funny, because we are wasting trillions of dollars and destroying our ability to have cheap and reliable electricity as a result of the climate hysteria and billionaire greed, but some of this stuff is so absurdly karmic that you have to laugh.  In this post a prominent climate researcher who does not buy into the mainstream non-scientific hysteria points out the absolute fraud in a recent paper on hurricanes, a paper relied upon the big knockers in climate science, the IPCC, as part of its justification for ramping up drama about our imminent demise due to the world burning up or being flooded.  In relying on this study, and ignoring every other one on the topic, the IPCC chose to claim that damages from hurricanes are increasing even after adjusting for property costs and the fact that there is more property on coasts.

The authors of the fraudulent paper disregarded the standard database of hurricane damage over the years and used a modified set that no one else used, a set that was in essence apples and oranges in the sources of information about damage.  Their use of this dataset may be referred to by some as an “error” but I am dubious that it was an “error” and not intentional, but climate hysteric scientists are dumb among other things.  (Pielke Post)

And the recent Nantucket wind turbine implosion has brought to the surface more of the fighting among “environmental” groups about off-shore wind farms and more data about just how poorly constructed and unsafe these bird-choppers are.  Off-shore wind farms are very disruptive to all kinds of sea life, particularly whales.  Turns out these things are so poorly build that falling apart isn’t an accident, it is almost a certainty.    (Bryce Post)
