More Green Frivolity

Renewable energy is cheap, which is why your electricity bills have soared in recent years. Renewable energy is reliable, which is why it takes thousands of acres of toxic batteries to ensure you have any electricity at all from those sources.  Renewable energy is friendly to the environment, which is why we are constantly reading about thousands of birds, bats, etc. being chopped to pieces by wind turbines or fried by solar cells.  Nature loves solar and wind energy plants, which is why it sends hail storms to destroy acres of solar panels and wind storms to blow turbines to bits.  All these lies, and they are lies since the speakers know the truth, are told by renewable energy advocates and climate hysterics.  And they are supported by billionaires who make a fortune from renewable energy subsidies and who give massive campaign contributions to politicians to keep those subsidies flowing.   (ZH Post)

The latest revelation of nature’s attitude toward wind farms, or of human incompetence in designing, building and operating them is on the Nantucket beaches.  Couldn’t happen to a better place.  Lots of rich pro(re)gressives live here and on Martha’s Vineyard, including former President Obama.  A wind turbine blew to pieces, which creates dangerous fiberglass shards, and those shards ended up on the Nantucket beaches, rendering them unusable and forcing the shut down of the whole wind farm.   I am sure it was great for all the ocean life nearby as well.  These wind and solar facilities are massive environmental menaces, threatening not just the flora and fauna, but containing huge amounts of toxic substances, which have to be disposed of at some point.  And one reason solar and wind energy costs so much is that the plants don’t last nearly as long as they are supposed to, are easily damaged and have huge costs associated with disposing of end-of-life or non-working equipment.  It is all a big disaster, except to the rich people who get richer from the scam.
