Now that Minnesota is giving us date of death, we can try the cohort analysis with all Minnesota-reported data. That analysis attempts to take a group of cases and identify serious outcomes such as hospitalization and death, using a lag period from the CDC’s modeling parameter estimates. Not a lot of change in the look, but nice to have a single data source. The recent seeming spike in hospitalization rate is almost certainly due to a dramatic change in testing, with school out and people in general just avoiding testing. Thanks to DD.
