Here is another great chart, courtesy of Twitter and Kyle Lamb, that shows hospitalization trends from several states. One thing it shows is that certain states governed by a certain political party tend to get picked on, but those states are doing far better than states run by the other party in general. It also shows that media hysteria is typically a leading indicator that whatever the hysteria is about is actually trending in the other direction. Since hospitalizations is a better, but not perfect indicator of the actual shape of the epidemic at any point, it is interesting how some states are avoiding large peaks or deep valleys.
